The time is now.

The Oregon Ducks, the 3-seed in the Midwest Region, will face 14-seed Iona today at 11:00am from Golden1 Center in Sacramento, California. Pregame coverage starts at 10:30am leading up to an 11:00am tip on 102.9-FM and 750-AM The Game.

The Ducks enter the matchup as 15-point favorites over the Gaels, who won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament after finishing the regular season as the number-3 seed.

Iona prides itself on outside shooting, ranking 14th in the country in team 3-point percentage (39.9%). They are led by senior Jordan Washington, a 6’8″ 235-pound forward who has put up 17.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. ┬áThe Gaels also have four players who shoot over 40% from 3-point range.

Oregon’s Tyler Dorsey says the team’s first-round opponent reminds him of one particular Pac-12 opponent:

“Watching them, they are pretty similar to Arizona State,” Dorsey said. “They shoot a lot of contested shots and shoot tough shots and hit a lot of 3s. So, it’s dangerous but we’ve been preparing all week for that.”

The Oregon-Iona winner will face the winner of the 6-seed Creighton Blue Jays and 11-seed Rhode Island Rams, a game that follows the Ducks and Gaels in Sacramento.

Keep it locked to and 102.9-FM/750-AM for the latest on the Ducks run in the 2017 NCAA Tournament!
