Timbers Out-Energized By Red Bulls, Lose 4-0

The defense of the Red Bulls would prove too much for the Timbers in their 4-0 loss at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. The match was a grind for much of it’s tenure.

17 year old Ben Mines, would be the first to strike for the Red Bulls in the 18th minute of his MLS debut…

The Timbers would end the first half seeming to have gained momentum with strong play on the ball, but simply couldn’t find the back of the net. Their momentum would continue into the 2nd half but in the 77th minute Bradley Wright-Philips, would strike for the Red Bulls once again…

This would spell the collapse of the Timbers as they would then give up two more goals in matter of minutes. By all appearances they simply gave up. The Timbers are now 0-2 in the Giovanni Savarese era.

Next, the Timbers will have two weeks off before taking on FC Dallas on March, 24th. You can catch all the action on the Game!
