Chiefs Release Star RB Hunt

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt has been released by the Chiefs after he was seen shoving and kicking a woman in a video of a February incident released by TMZ today.

In the video of the Feb. 10 incident, which had been previously reported by multiple outlets, Hunt and the woman trade words in a hallway before Hunt pushes the woman, who responds by hitting him in the face. The video also shows Hunt kicking the woman in the leg.

The Chiefs released a statement:

“As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”
