The official Games of the XXXII Olympiad also known as Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 have been branded as Tokyo 2020. The international multi-sport event was held from 23rd July to 8th August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. With few preliminary Olympic events that began on 21st July 2021. 

The host city of the Olympic Tokyo Games 2020 was Tokyo, Japan. The motto of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was “United by Emotion”. A total of 205 nations and 11,656 athletes participated in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. A total of 339 events were held in 33 sports and 50 disciplines. The opening ceremony for the historical event was done by Emperor Naruhito. The closing ceremony for the incredible Tokyo Olympics 2020 was done by IOC President Thomas Bach. The Cauldron in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was Naomi Osaka. And the main venue was the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

The top medal holder at the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 from Men’s category was Caeleb Dressel of the United States. He won a total of five gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He won two gold medals in Men’s 100m Butterfly Swimming, one gold medal in Men’s 4×100m Freestyle Relay Swimming, one gold medal in Men’s 4×100m Medley Relay Swimming, and another gold medal for Men’s 50m Freestyle Swimming. 

The second medal holder at the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was from the Women’s category was Emma McKeon of Australia. She won four gold medals and three bronze medals at the Summer Olympics 2020. She won one gold medal in 100m Freestyle Swimming, one gold medal in 4×100m Freestyle Relay Swimming, one gold medal in 4×100m Medley Relay Swimming, and one gold medal in 50m Freestyle Swimming. She also won one Bronze medal in Mixed 4×100m Medley Relay Swimming, one bronze medal in 100m Butterfly Swimming, and another Bronze medal in 4×200m Freestyle Relay Swimming.

The third medal holder at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is Kaylee McKeown from Australia Women’s category. She won three gold medals and one bronze medal at the Summer Olympics 2020. She won one gold medal in Women’s 100m Backstroke Swimming, one gold medal in Women’s 200m Backstroke Swimming, and one gold medal in Women’s 4×100m Medley Relay Swimming. She also won one bronze medal in the Mixed 4×100m Medley Relay Swimming. 

The United States has once again earmarked its history with becoming the top medal holder at the Olympic Tokyo Games 2020. They won a total of 113 medals at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. They won 39 gold medals, 41 silver medals, and 33 bronze medals at the Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020.
