Trevor Bauer allowed one run while pitching into the seventh inning, Jose Ramirez hit his first homer of the season and the Cleveland Indians held on late for a 6-4 win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.

Back-to-back home runs in the bottom half of the 8th inning gave the Mariners life, but they were unable to get any closer than 5-4.

Seattle gave away several critical runs in losing its fourth straight. Cleveland scored twice in the eighth as three relievers combined for four walks, a hit batter and two wild pitches. Mariners shortstop Tim Beckham committed a pair of two-out errors in the ninth, the second allowing Carlos Gonzales to score on Carlos Santana’s single.

After starting the season a Major League best 13-2 through 15 games, Seattle has now dropped four games in a row to fall to 13-6.
