The NFL’s coaching carousel continues to update as teams look to fill vacancies.

The latest is that the New York Jets are hiring Adam Gase, the former head coach of their rival Miami Dolphins.  Gase was 5-1 coaching against the Jets in his 3 seasons in Miami.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have tabbed former Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians to be their next head coach.

The Bucs have also brought on recently fired Jets head coach Todd Bowles to be their defensive coordinator.

The Cleveland Browns decided to hire offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens to be their next head coach, bypassing interim coach and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams for the job.  Now, it looks like Williams is being hired by Gase to run the defense with the New York Jets.

Earlier the Arizona Cardinals took a risk by hiring USC offensive coordinator/former Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury.

The Green Bay Packers went with former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur as their new head coach.

The Denver Broncos made a strong play by hiring Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio as their head coach, while keeping reigns of the offense under Gary Kubiak’s control, the former Super Bowl-winning head coach of the Broncos.

Former Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter has landed on his feet and will stay in the NFC South as offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons.

The Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals head coaching jobs remain open as of Thursday morning.
