He’s gifted.  He’s coveted.  And now, he’s set a date.

Five-star quarterback recruit and Oregon Ducks target D.J. Uiagalelei revealed on social media Wednesday that he will announce his college commitment on May 5.

The schools on his consideration list are the Clemson Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils, though it is widely believed that Clemson is the favorite to land him with Oregon right behind them.

Uiagalelei visited Oregon for their recent spring game on April 20th, and has made multiple visits, both official and unofficial, to Eugene.

Should “DJ-U” raise eyebrows and pick the Ducks over Clemson, questions would surely follow about the future of Tyler Shough, who redshirted as a freshman last year and has shown positive signs of development entering his redshirt freshman season.
