TIMBERS ANNOUNCE SCHEDULE FOR 2019 SEASON
Portland to play first 12 matches on the road due to stadium expansion, conclude regular season with 11 of last 12 matches at Providence Park

PORTLAND, Ore. – Major League Soccer today unveiled the full 34-game, 2019 regular-season schedule for the Portland Timbers. The club’s extended road schedule to begin the season is due to completion work on a multiphase, $75 million stadium-expansion project that will add approximately 4,000 new seats to the east side of Providence Park and a host of amenities and improvements throughout the stadium.

Beginning Aug. 10 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the Timbers will open a 10-game homestand as part of playing 11 of their last 12 games to conclude the season at Providence Park. Portland will face six Eastern Conference opponents at Providence Park this season. The Timbers will play host to Eastern Conference teams Orlando City SC (July 18), Chicago Fire (Aug. 14), Atlanta United FC (Aug. 18), D.C.
