Report: Dez Bryant to sign with Saints on 1-year deal

The New Orleans Saints are 7-1, have won seven straight, and are already a legitimate Super Bowl contender.  On Wednesday they bolstered their roster even more with the signing of free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant.

ESPN was first to report the one-year deal.

Schefter says the deal will take Bryant through the end of the season with the Saints, giving himself a chance to prove himself as a quality player in the league once again, and potentially capitalize in free agency again in the off-season.

Bryant has not played a down since Dec. 31st, 2017.  He had 69 catches for 838 yards and 6 touchdowns in 16 games played last year with the Cowboys.  He will be playing his 9th NFL season, and just turned 30 years old last week.

Bryant’s Saints will visit his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, on Thursday Nov. 29th, the week after Thanksgiving.
